The 3rd party platform (Mandrill) that currently handles all the automated emails for the website has shut its free service. As a result, from today these emails arn't working. I will look for an alternative soon and get it all hooked up. Sorry for the inconvenience. In the mean time this might affect new user sign-ups and the verifying email process. So if someone is having trouble, its because of a known issue that will be fixed soon.
